Ingredients of Cottage pie
- Prepare of chicken breast.
- It's of Asparagus.
- Prepare of onion.
- You need of red or green pepper chopped.
- You need of Olive oil for frying vegetables.
- You need of medium potatoes peeled and cubed into small pieces.
- It's of garlic.
- It's of milk.
- You need of cake flour.
- You need of butter.
- You need of cheese of choice I used Parmesan.
Cottage pie step by step
- Remove chicken skin and cut into cubes heat oil in pan.
- Peel potatoes add garlic and half if onion and boil. Once cooked mash all ingredients and set aside.
- Chop remaining vegetables and add with chicken into pan and fry till cooked.
- Once cooked add butter till melted then add flour one spoon at a time and stir into chicken mixture for 5 minutes add salt and pepper to taste.
- Add milk to chicken mixture and stirs till thickened. Empty into oven compatible dish.
- Spread potatoes mixture on top of chicken till it covers all chicken.
- Sprinkle cheese on top then place in oven for 15 minutes or until slightly brown and cheese has melted.
- Serve with a salad or side of your choice.
